In Iraq
Hello again:
I am in Iraq today on my first mission. The internet access at my Kuwait base has been very limited. I usually don't have time to respond to most of them due to time restraints. It is very hot here, but the worst thing is the constant dry mouth, and the sand in every part of your body. We also get hot showere with no cold water. It looks like it will be easier to have internet time when I am on missions than when I am in Kuwait. Hopefully I can write more often.
Jim

Hey Jim. Nice to hear from you. I am glad you got overseas safe and sound.
I guess it is summer time in Iraq also so this is probably the worst time, weather wise. I hope it gets better soon.
Sounds like you are being kept plenty busy. How is everybody adjusting? It would have been nice to have time to acclimate but I guess the Army is in a hurry.
You would think think Kuwait would have better amenities than Iraq but I guess not. At least you have some internet access. Are you able to call home often?
Can you tell me what unit you are in and what area you are operating in?
Be safe, answer when you can and take care.

Jim,
See my comments also under Almost There. Sorry I am not very technical, most of the people I kn ow do not know what a blog is or what to do with one. I see David is a pro at it. It took me until now to realize I could acutally reply to your messages. I should have asked Casey and Jessie, they may have been able to help me figure it out. Oh, well, you are keeping my technology skills up to date. This is a good thing. Love Tammy

Hi Jim,
I heard your first mission went well! I'm so glad. I just hope they all go that well!!! I can't imagine the heat and sand you're dealing with in the area. Do you know if the weather cools off at all during the fall and winter?
I know several people have been asking you about this, but my Girl Scout troop would like to do something for all of your guys and I was wondering if there is anything they particularly need? Also, my hairdresser was asking the same thing. She said she'd spread the word to all of her clients and ship those items to you. We just want to let you and your men know how much you're all appreciated and do anything we can here to make your lives a little easier. Just let me know what you come up with!
Like Tammy, I didn't realize until she told me that I could input comments into your blog site. So, I've sent you lots of e-mails instead. From now on, I'll probably communicate via your blog.
Well Jim, I hope your access to the Internet improves! It's always good to hear from you!!! Talk to you soon. Lot of love and stay safe!

Hey Jimmy. There is a lot going on here as you have probably heard. The damage from the hurricane is incredible. We are trying to figure out how best to help but the situation is still chaotic. Our company may restrict driving soon to conserve fuel.
I hope all is well over there. Speaking of sending help, please let me know if there is anything we can do for you over there or for Michelle and Michael over here.
Take care, talk to you soon.
